Clear specifications make inspection more useful. We check PVC trunking, conduit and accessories against the requirements agreed for your order, from dimensions and colour to packing and labels.
Agree the Inspection Requirements
Before production, confirm the model, drawing, dimensions, wall thickness, colour and packing requirements. Identify any measurements or checks that are especially important to your application, and agree the measurement method and acceptance criteria.
For products with adhesive backing, include the selected tape specification. For accessories supplied with screws, confirm the required screw type and quantity.
Checks During Production and Packing
Our inspection workflow includes checks during production and further sampling during packing or adhesive application. These stages help us compare the product with the agreed specification before shipment.
- Dimensions and thickness: check the specified dimensions and wall thickness at the agreed measurement points.
- Colour and finish: compare the product with the approved reference and check for visible burrs or other finish issues.
- Accessories: check the specification, colour and any included screws against the order.
- Packing and labels: check packing quantities, packaging requirements and label information.
Consistent Thickness Measurements
Thickness measurements should use the same locations and method agreed for the order. Apply the measuring tool carefully so that pressure does not compress the plastic and distort the reading.
When reviewing a measurement, provide the model, measurement location, tool and a clear photo of the reading. Compare the result with the tolerance agreed for that product.
Inspection Photos for Your Order
Ask us to agree the inspection photos you need before dispatch. Depending on the product and your requirements, the photo set can include:
- An overview of the completed goods.
- The product cross-section and profile.
- Dimension and wall-thickness measurements.
- Weight measurements, where requested.
- Outer packaging and packing labels.
- A barcode scan result, where barcodes are specified.
Agree any additional inspection or testing requirements separately before production.
